Also some people won't even get their copy of nightfall by halloween, so doing it in LA is a safer bet

Does this mean that people with Factions-only won't be able to participate?

I owuld prefer it if it was kept Prophecies only and they gave Elona it's own event later on. Each continent with it's own unique event and Wintersday spanning all continents.

The event starts 1 week before Halloween and NF is being released...err 26th? or the 27th? so maybe

I agree, there are enough holidays to go around. Given the way the system works they may even celebrate the same holiday in different continents in different ways. Maybe Tyria gets the mad king (already have the code, just need to make sure it works with the newer version) and Elonia gets a new "king". Factions has its Dragon Mask and may even share another holiday. I would even keep the rewards the same (that is - everyone gets the same items and same mask).

To me, what the Mad King said and what was said about him means Tyrian only. Of course, they can break this, but it would require a re-write of last year.

Not only that but it would be nice to have older campaign only content released from time to time. Do I expect this? Not so much - I understand the push to purchase new campaigns. Nor am I going to RageQuit if they do not do this (GW is still one of my favorite games). But having the Mad King visit Tyria isn't a big deal. It was NEVER said that all campaigns will get identical content and it is silly to expect it. Especially when it is just for fun type events.

This is true even should I decide not to purchase new content - there isn't another game out there that does this much for so little money. One of the faults of GW is that they appeal to "cheap bastards" (of which I am a member - only online only game I play because of the no monthly fees plus too many other examples to site). Too many want everything they can for free and get angry when they do not get it. While I would like it, I'm happy as long as I get my money's worth.
